1. Deconstruct the traditional two-or-three-piece suit. If the idea of wearing a full suit on the daily seems dull (the colloquialism suits is synonymous with boring worker drones, after all), then it’s worth taking apart and rebuilding one out of tailored separates. Try a sleeveless tuxedo vest or a cropped, boxy jacket worn over a long slouchy blazer. It doesn’t all have to match, it just has to flow. Wear navy pinstripes with black, or put on a clean leather jacket instead of a blazer. Make your own ensemble instead of being locked into an idea of a standard.
