Clark Gregg stars in Trust Me (which he also wrote and directed), a movie about a former child actor who is a current child actor agent.
Whenever actors step behind the camera to direct a movie, it’s easy to guess what direction their directorial style will go. This is Gregg’s second film as a director (his first was the adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke which starred Sam Rockwell), and it’s no surprise to see that Gregg placed an emphasis on acting as this is what most actor-directors do. That’s not to say the film suffered greatly in other areas, just that acting is the main focus here. And what a focus it is. Gregg, a respected and talented actor, has assembled a cast that is as talented as it is expansive. Many of these are known faces, but he also introduces a few unknowns that are destined for a similar fate.
