Adrien Brody has signed on to star in Lee Tamahori's Emperor, playing the title role as 16th century Emperor Charles V. The feature, from an original script by The Devil's Double screenwriter Michael Thomas III, adapted by Jeffery Hatcher (The Dutchess), is set to begin shooting this August. Principle photography will be in the Czech Republic and Belgium. Corson World Sales is handling sales on the project and Paradigm Talent Agency are supporting with casting.
