Square Enix and United Front Games released a trailer and a series of screenshots for the upcoming definitive edition of Sleeping Dogs for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The trailer is three minutes long, talking up all the changes and modifications made to the original game in order to fit the upgraded consoles of the eighth gen.
Given that I played the PC version since the Xbox 360 and PS3 version suffered terribly from frame-rate issues and the graphics were turned up pretty high, it's hard to see this new trailer and think that there's any upgrades on display. I'm sure seventh-gen console owners will readily see the difference, but PC gamers already had access to the special HD texture pack and could max out the graphics with multi-sample anti-aliasing and full HD resolutions. Even with the YouTube trailer at 1080p my response was... Meh.
