YouTube's latest unexpected, and unexpectedly amazing, amateur tribute to a classic song … isn't exactly amateur. It comes from 2Cellos, a Croatian duo that knows how to absolutely shred (and gallop, and solo) on their beautiful classical instruments.
So they made an Iron Maiden music video. Yes, the cellists begin with classical staple "William Tell Overture" before suddenly, for a difficult crowd, ripping into "The Trooper." The song, off 1983's Piece of Mind, is one of the metal pioneers' strongest, most recognizable pieces of work. Check out the 2Cellos rendition of one of Maiden's finest hours -- replete with headbanging goodness -- below. "The Trooper" kicks in at the 1:37 mark.
