For the past decade, Joshua Radin has toured the world, armed with his acoustic guitar, singing songs of love and heartbreak and passion and pain. But only recently did he actually experience those emotions himself. His latest album, Onward and Sideways (due on January 6) is, as the 40-year-old singer-songwriter tells ELLE.com, "a love letter. Its about falling in love with someone after having been alone for many years. It's about the insecurity I've felt this past year as I've made myself completely vulnerable and given myself fully to another human being. This is something I've never done before so I thought I should write an album about the experience."
