Watch Cassadee Pope Cover Bon Jovi in Concert — rollingstone.com

Cassadee Pope was just three years old when Bon Jovi released their album Keep the Faith in 1992, but the country singer is well-acquainted with the Jersey rockers' most famous power ballad from that album. In a special video she released to fans on New Year's Eve, Pope performs Keep the Faith's Top 10 single "Bed of Roses." Filmed live onstage — and in "Wanted Dead or Alive" black-and-white — the video opens with Pope walking from the bus to the stage (again, very "Wanted Dead or Alive") and introducing "Roses" as one of her "favorite songs of all time." She even implores fans to lift their lighters or, more era appropriate, cell phones in the air to set the mood. But the Florida native is all business after the small talk, singing the ballad with a gusto that would make Jon Bon Jovi proud. Backed by only an acoustic guitar, until the requisite drums unfailingly kick in, Pope displays her pre-country rock roots — before winning Season Three of The Voice she fronted the L.A. band Hey Monday, who toured with Fall Out Boy.
