Our second pick from the city of Swansea sits between the quieter streets of the suburban Sketty area, in a tiny, tight-knit space that makes it easy to see how the restaurant got its name. In March 2014, the establishment changed ownership and announced its closure—much to the melancholy of the locals. Fortunately, new management stepped in and Slice has been able to continue serving its acclaimed set menus of sumptuous Mediterranean-meets-gourmet-British fare, all cooked up by Chefs Adam and Chris of local Swansea extraction.
