International Darwin Day has a big mission: "To inspire people throughout the globe to reflect and act on the principles of intellectual bravery, perpetual curiosity, scientific thinking and hunger for truth as embodied in Charles Darwin," it says on darwinday.org.
That mission – and some others – will extend to Newark on Thursday, with a Delaware Atheist Meetup Group program. The free event, starting at 5 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott, 400 David Hollowell Drive, will feature a panel discussion on Darwin and his legacies.
