It’s Valentine’s Day which means you can get ready to see all of the heart-shaped jewelry, red roses, boxes of chocolates and cheesy romantic cards sold out at every store. It’s not that they are bad gifts, it is just that you can probably predict what you–and the majority of the world–will get for Valentine’s Day, just like you could predict the birthday present you would get from your aunt every year ($20 in a card with a cat on the front). It’s difficult to figure out unique V-Day gifts, so it is easy to see why everyone sticks with the classic gifts, rather than risking disappointing someone when they open up something completely random.
