Lewis Hamilton strengthened his hold on the World Championship with a strong race to increase his lead over Sebastian Vettel to 40 points.

A superb late lap in qualifying had ensured that he started the race from the front of the grid, and the Mercedes driver duly held his nerve for his seventh race win of the season.
