Panchagarh is a district in Rangpur Division of Bangladesh.

Panchagarh is bounded by Darjeeling district of India on the north, Jalpaiguri District of India and Cooch Behar District of India on the northeast, Uttar Dinajpur District of India on the west. Dinajpur District, Bangladesh and Thakurgaon District, Bangladesh on the south, Nilphamari District, Bangladesh on the east.

Panchagarh district is divided into five Upazilla or Sub-Districts (Atwari ( আটোয়ারী ), Boda ( বোদা ), Debigonj ( দেবীগঞ্জ ), Panchagarh Sadar ( পঞ্চগড় সদর ), Tetulia ( তেঁতুলিয়া ))



How to Reach Panchagarh

From Dinajpur: There are Many gate lock buses run from Dinajpur to Panchagarh. Some buses hanged Green flag in front and top on the bus are moving faster. You can ride on that bus.


Tourist Places in Panchagarh

There are few places to visit in Panchagarh. But I heard that we can see Kanchenjunga ( কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা ) from here. I went there to prove it but couldn't watch due to cloud. But after collecting many information I have realized that on a fine clear winter November morning, one can see the snow capped peak of Kanchenjunga ( কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা ).

Rocks Museum

Rocks Museum was established in 2000 in the Panchagarh Government Women's College yeard by the head of the college Nazmul Haque. In the museum, there are archaeological and folk collections of Panchagarh district, which have more than 1,000.
How to go: It's in the town. Go to Government Women's College by ricksha.

Vitorgor Durgo Nogori

Ruined Historical Place

About 12 square miles area. After Partition in 1947, few parts of Durga Nagar fell into India.
How to go: From Panchgarh Central Bus Terminal, go to "Board Office" by Tetuliya bus. Then by ricksha or van go to 5 Km away at this Place.

Maharajar Dhighi

Historical Big Pond

A big pond is now known as 'Maharajar Dighi'. The area is around 800 x 400 yards. It is believed that the Prithu king dug this pond. It is said that Prithu Raja is attacked by a lower class called "Kichok", with family and hi wealth. Due to the fear of destruction of religion in their contact, they took suicide in this pond. Every year, in the Bengali New Year, fairs are held at the pond.
How to go: From Panchgarh Central Bus Terminal, go to "Board Office" by Tetuliya bus. Then by ricksha or van go to 5 Km away at this pond.

Tetulia Daak Banglo

Historical Rest House

It is known that the king of Kuch Bihar had built it. Dak Bungaloti operated by the district council. Apart from this, there is a picnic spot created by Tentulia Upazila Parishad. From that place, enjoy the beauty of the Kanchanjunga in Bangla Hemanto and winter season.
How to go: You have to go to Tetulia by bus from Panchagarh. Few meters away from Tetulia Bus stop.

Kanchenjunga View

Kanchenjunga ( কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা ), is the third highest mountain in the world, and lies partly in Nepal and partly in Sikkim, India. It rises with an elevation of 8,586 m (28,169 ft) in a section of the Himalayas called Kangchenjunga.
So first criteria is to view Kanchenjunga, you must go to there on Winter Morning. When less cloud in the sky. The points to view
Kanchenjunga are -
1. Many people informed that from many places at Panchagarh, you can see Kanchenjunga.

2. If you want better view, you have to go to Daak Banglo (Rest House), I have described earlier. From there you can view Kanchenjunga ( কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা )
3. Another point is 500 meters before Bangla Bandha Zero point. Between Immigration Office and Zero point, keep your eyes on left (East). What I saw in the month of August only cloud.
If it is winter and cloudless weather, you can see Kanchenjunga.

How to go: You have to go to Bangla Bandha from Tetulia. From Bangla Bandha Bus Stop you have to hire Battery Auto. 10 taka per person. about a kilometer. On the way you can see Bangla Bandha Immigration which is the port for Bangla Bandha (Bangladesh) and Phulbari (India). At last you will see zero point

Tetulia Tea Garden

This is different tea garden in Bangladesh. In Moulvi Bazar and Sylhet tea gardens are slope land but here you can see the tea garden on the level land
How to go: From Tetulia bus stand you can go by auto.

Mirjapur Shahi Masjid

Architectural Mosque

The Mosque built in Mid Sixteenth Century.
How to go: This is in Atwari Sub-district in Panchagarh. Go to Atwari by bus. From Atwari go to 6 Km away Mirzapur. From Mirzapur bus stand go to 1 Km away this mosque by auto.

Golokdham Temple

Temple

The temple was built in 1846
How to go: Go to Deviganj Sub-district. Then go to 12 Km away Shaldanga Village and to the temple.
