This has happened to my designs so many times. Unfortunately it is usually the retailer pushing it. For example right now Staples is carrying 2 chairs I designed in almost exactly the same design but when they resourced direct from a factory they cut me out and my importer client. Don't give those knockoffs your business. They are cheaper for a reason.
