Zero 7, 'Simple Science': Exclusive Song Premiere — billboard.com

British electrip-hop duo Zero 7 are coming back with a four-song EP, "Simple Science," due Aug. 18 via Make Records. The announcement of their first outing since 2010's "Record" also happens to coincide with the July 8 release of "1000 Forms of Fear" by Sia, the group's former vocalist. In what sounds like a nod to last year's U.K. garage revival and house music standards' incorporation into seemingly all forms of music, the EP's title track departs from their downtempo earlier material, making a move toward the dance floor with skipping hi-hats, piano stabs, and a twinkling arpeggio. Australian singer Danny Pratt supplies the vocals, his easy falsetto textured with occasional background vocal stabs and generous amounts of delay.
