Tortuga Music Festival headliners Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band had better pack a bigger beach blanket. The two acts will be getting some company at the third annual festival, held April 11th and 12th on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, as the Band Perry, Josh Turner and Will Hoge have been announced as part of the lineup.
Not only a concert, but an effort to raise awareness for ocean conservation, Tortuga boasts an eclectic array of artists. Along with radio-country acts like Jake Owen, Little Big Town, David Nail and Frankie Ballard, the festival includes genre-crossers the Mavericks, rapper Colt Ford, bluegrass group Judah & the Lion and California ska-punkers Sublime (with Rome Ramirez on vocals, subbing for the late Brad Nowell). Presented with assistance from the Rock the Ocean Foundation, the event has raised more than $100,000 for ocean and marine life research.
