Rascal Flatts stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform two songs from their 2014 album Rewind -- including the title track, which was a top 5 hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
While the band's rendition of "Rewind" was tepid, the group was sure-footed when it came to "Riot." Though programmed beats and heavy guitars rule country radio, Rascal Flatts have stuck with their brand of country-inflected soft-rock. And "Riot," sweeping and lovelorn, plays to their strengths. Jay DeMarcus's bass guided the song during their performance, and most of the band chipped in to add pretty harmonies.
