An old Friend drops in to stink up the Staples Center, James Bond crashes TV weather report, teachers channel Les Miserables and Banksy celebrates misery

Let’s scoot back to the 90s, shall we? Fans of Friends will no doubt remember Phoebe’s signature tune Smelly Cat, with which she used to stink out Central Perk on a regular basis. Well the dirge about the fetid feline has made a comeback as Lisa Kudrow and none other than Taylor Swift perform it live at Staples Center in LA. Apologies for the shaky footage, but the camera(person) was probably holding their nose at the time.

Meanwhile, it’s not every day a former James Bond drops in to help you with the weather forecast but it was all sunny smiles when Pierce Brosnan pitched up on Today. Willie Geist described the ex-007 as “one of the smoothest leading men in film – and one of the worst meteorologists” but his appearance raised a laugh with forecaster Al Roker and the team.

If you’ve ever wandered around an Ikea store, wondering at the Swedish names and designers, you’ll have a chuckle at the guy who annoys his girlfriend with Ikea puns. Video maker Simon Gilmour says: “We moved in together recently so had to make the unavoidable trip to Ikea; I figured out how to get through there as quickly as possible.”

A speedy escape might also be on your mind if you visit Banksy’s Dismaland in Weston-super-Mare. And if you are on holiday, and you don’t want to go back to work, you will empathise with teachers from West Des Moines, Iowa, who broke into the song One More Day from Les Miserables to mark the last day before their students return.
