Billie Joe Armstrong is headed to the big screen in a big way. The Green Day frontman is set to star alongside Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester in an upcoming indie drama Like Sunday, Like Rain, Deadline reports. The film comes from actor/director Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction, Ray Donovan) and tells the story of a struggling musician, played by Meester, who becomes the guardian of a 12-year-old music prodigy. Armstrong will play Meester's boyfriend in the movie.
