Special K has been saying ‘shhh!’ to fat talk in a spot aimed at body-conscious young women – and those young women now indicate that they are more likely to consider purchasing Special K the next time they buy cereal.
According to the Special K ad launched in early December, 93% of women ‘fat talk’, or have negative body image thoughts about themselves. The cereal brand teamed up with model Tyra Banks to promote the campaign, who tweeted to fans in mid-December: “#FightFatTalk w/me & @SpecialKUS by posting UR SHHHH selfie!”
