Pixies' New Video Connects Graffiti Artists With Astronauts — rollingstone.com

The video for "Greens and Blues," a track off Pixies' latest release, EP-2, tells a last-man-on-Earth story, but finds its protagonist to be the last slacker on Earth. Throughout most of the clip, the man – played by Mel Rodriguez (Panic Room, Little Miss Sunshine) – walks around with a can of spray paint trying to figure out what to do with his time. In one scene, he spends his time sitting in a spotlight shaking the can down by his crotch in a curious way. In another, he dives into a green ocean and nearly reenacts the cover of Nirvana's Nevermind. A blue astronaut visits him, but despite the premise, there is no Twilight Zone or Planet of the Apes-like twist.
