Following on from the acquisition of Everyplay by Unity Technologies, the San Francisco based company has scooped up another set of tools with the purchase of Playnomics. Announced by CEO David Helgason on the Unity blog, there will be no immediate change for developers working with either Unity or Playnomics, although integration is on the way.
Playnomics is a marketing platform and data analysis tool for developers to increase player engagement. Primarily aimed at the freemium developer to maximise revenue from a title, Playnomics promote three main functions; the PlayRM tool to analyse user behaviour, an acquisition value predictor to discover which marketing channels provide the highest revenue generating users, and user segmentation services to improve the overall revenue performance.
