british office grimshaw are set to add to their portfolio of international transport projects after being appointed principal technical adviser for the auckland city rail link in new zealand. as part of a consortium led by aurecon, the development forms a NZD $2.86 billion investment in the city’s transport infrastructure, helping establish auckland as an important center for economic growth. the link will form an integral part of the city’s rail network, connecting britomart station to eden terrace, consequently allowing for six trains each hour from most auckland stations.
