The whole borough of Wandsworth becomes a festival venue next month, with the Wandsworth Arts Festival + Fringe. Enjoy free art and performances, like fire showers at Roehampton Library Green on 17 May or a travelling Toast Temple (we’re really not making that up). There’s family friendly dance and physical theatre, plays, comedy and poetry, music, storytelling and Dad dancing. There’s also plenty to keep the craft-minded entertained, like design and make workshops at an African tea party, a free weaving experience and a chance to mend or alter that item of clothing that’s never been quite right.
