Microsoft may be making a major change to its Xbox Live Gold premium service, making it no longer necessary for users to pay extra to access streaming services like Netflix and Hulu directly on the gaming console.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners won't need paid subscriptions to sync the consoles with their streaming accounts, Ars Technica reported. But Xbox Live Gold may add other services to the platform that would still require a fee.
