Tomorrow, Legacy recordings will release an expanded version of Roy Orbison's posthumous Mystery Girl, an LP originally released in February 1989, two months after the singer's death. Today, we're premiering the music video that accompanies the most significant of the bonus tracks, "The Way Is Love."
Just as the song was pieced together around a recently recovered Orbison vocal track, the music video stitches together old clips of the late rock & roll legend. Because Roy originally recorded that vocal track on a boombox cassette player, the song was reworked by a team that included producer John Carter Cash and a group Roy's son, Alex, describes as "some scientists with a super computer."
