For the last couple of years, CSNY 1974 was starting to seem like the Chinese Democracy of archival live albums. David Crosby and Graham Nash kept claiming they were months away from releasing a box set from CSNY's infamously debauched 1974 reunion tour, but the project never seemed to materialize.
That's going to change on July 8th (just one day short of the 40th anniversary of the tour's kick-off) when CSNY 1974 finally arrives on shelves. For hardcore fans, the project is well worth the wait. It's a three-disc set mixing hits like "Ohio" and "Our House" with deep cuts like "Pushed It Over The End," "Don't Be Denied" and "Revolution Blues." There's also an eight-song DVD featuring footage filmed at London's Wembley Stadium and the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland. Last week, we premiered an exclusive stream of "Almost Cut My Hair."
