Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst says members of the iconic Australian rock band are keen to reunite for a tour, but front man Peter Garrett was busy writing a memoir.
"Peter's writing his memoirs at the moment, so that might take a while, but I think everyone's up for it," Hirst told Faster Louder online music magazine in an interview published on Tuesday.
The lanky, bald-headed singer, now aged 61, quit the band in 2002 to pursue a career in federal politics. He became a Cabinet minister in the previous Labor Party government before quitting Parliament at elections in September last year.
