Ever since the announcement last year that the sequel to Warner Bros.’ Superman reboot movie Man of Steel would include Batman, Superman fans have been chomping at the bit and worrying about what will happen to the character’s cinematic franchise. The subsequent announcement of Wonder Woman’s presence in the film, as well as the inclusion of Victor Stone (aka the superhero Cyborg) and possible cameos by Dick Grayson (aka former Batman sidekick Robin turned solo adventurer Nightwing) and other superheroes, only increased the concern. When the official title was announced as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, these fans pointed to it as proof that Batman is dominating the movie while Superman gets shabby treatment, and some of them even argue that the subtitle Dawn of Justice implies Batman showing up represents “justice” against Superman.
