Xperia Z2 to come to Verizon around mid-August — androidauthority.com

Earlier this year, somebody on Sony’s social media team accidentally shared a couple of press shots of the Xperia Z2 sporting Verizon’s distinctive logo on the back. At the time, both Verizon and Sony refuted speculation that Big Red would be carrying the Z2 in the future, but a recent report from @evleaks claims otherwise. According to the infamous leaker, a variant of the Sony Xperia Z2 for Verizon is indeed in the pipeline, with lengthy testing and certification processes causing a delay, supposedly because Verizon’s Z2 model will support LTE-A. The phone (codenamed Sony Sirius Viv D6503) could be released around the middle of the next quarter, which is sometime in August.
