As a Brazilian living in London, when in the kitchen, I always recall on the recipes I've learnt throughout my life from the women in my family, without the nostalgia I could feel for being miles away from everything and everybody. Instead, I positively end up cooking a brand new and fresh bunch of recipes I've managed to create with my much loved London ingredients.
