Sarah Polley is in talks to adapt Looking for Alaska, the book that launched the career of Fault in Our Stars writer John Green. PHOTOS 'The Fault in Our Stars' and 8 Other Tragic Tearjerkers With Kids and Teens Paramount is behind the adaptation, which will be produced by Mark Waters and Jessica Tuchinsky via their Watermark Pictures banner. Paramount picked up the book rights back in 2005 and even had a script by Josh Schwartz, who was also going to direct. The script even made the prestigious Black List. But the project languished as the studio, like most others, focused on tentpoles and fare that was easier to sell.
