With Joe Versus the Volcano, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail, we've seen Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan together on the big screen three times so far, and now it's time for a fourth. THR has word that Ryan is getting ready to make her feature directorial debut in Virginia with a World War II coming-of-age tale called Ithaca, based on William Saroyan's 1943 novel The Human Comedy. Hanks was already set to executive produce the film along with collaborator Gary Goetzman through their Playtone banner, but the Oscar winner will also make a cameo in the film, something he doesn't do often on the big screen.
