PHOTOS 'Pacific Rim' Premiere: Big Robots Bring Out the Big Stars Guillermo del Toro returns to direct Legendary Pictures' sequel to the 2013 giant-robot film. Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk, X-Men: The Last Stand) and del Toro will write the script for the sequel, which will be released in 3D and Imax. Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will return to produce with del Toro, Mary Parent and Callum Greene. Jillian Share will executive produce.
