The 1999 hit with a lot of names and a little bit of "mambo" is easy to remember, but whatever happened to its hat-wearing crooner, Lou Bega? FOX411 caught up with the "Mambo No. 5" singer to reminisce about his hit song and talk about what's new for 2014. Bega says the story behind the song was a simple one.  "I dated a lot of pretty nice ladies when I was younger," Bega said. "These names of my past, you know, just came to me and I wrote it down, got the melody and the rest is history."
