'Allegiant, Part 1' nabs 'Maze Runner' screenwriter — hypable.com

The third Divergent film Allegiant, Part 1 will be written by the same person who penned the book-to-film adaptation of The Maze Runner. The Hollywood Reporter says that Noah Oppenheim will write the first half of the Allegiant finale for Lionsgate. The news is particularly interesting to the YA community because he also wrote the script for Fox’s The Maze Runner, which opens in theaters this September.
