The French Riviera is practically synonymous with sun, celebrities, and parties. So what better place to celebrate the launch of fashion brand Edun on Mytheresa.com? Last night, Bono and Ali Hewson hosted guests at their villa to kick off the collaboration. The group, which included Leonardo DiCaprio, Dasha Zhukova in an off-the-shoulder rouge Vika Gazinskaya dress, and Daisy Lowe showing off her taut tummy in a crop top and full skirt from Edun and Henry Holland, were treated to peach bellinis and champagne before heading off to nearby Èze for dinner at Anjuna Beach. Taking in the picturesque surroundings were director Spike Jonze and Hanneli Mustaparta and Marie-Josée Croze, both in ethereal white frocks by Edun. Dressed for the relocation in leather sandals, Danielle Sherman couldn’t help but chuckle as Lowe took off her high heels and said, “walking on stones is a lot like reflexology massage.” During the dinner of salt-crusted sea bass, lamb, and strawberry and raspberry tarts, Bono, who cofounded Edun with Hewson in 2005 to promote trade in Africa by sourcing production throughout the continent, and Mytheresa.com buying director Justin O’Shea raised their glasses to toast the collaboration. Afterwards, guests decamped yet again, sauntering down the cobblestone streets to Jimmy’z in Monaco, where they partied until the sun rose over the Mediterranean.
