If you’re sandwich lover like me, you can eat sandwiches year round. However, the lazy days of summer make it seem like sandwich season. I like to lay it on thick with homemade mayonnaise. (There are 4 kinds of plain and flavored mayos in my fridge right now.)
Why make mayonnaise from scratch? Because it tastes a zillion times better than store bought, is easy and fast (less than it takes to go to the store to buy mayo), and magical. I’ve been tinkering with homemade mayo since I was about 10 years old and the transformation of liquid into spreadable solid never fails to impress me and my taste buds.
