Jennifer Connelly has come aboard to play the female lead opposite Ewan McGregor in American Pastoral, director Phillip Noyce's adaptation of Philip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. Connelly will play Dawn, the wife of Seymour "Swede" Levov, McGregor's character. The project marks Lakeshore Entertainment’s third Roth adaptation, following The Human Stain and Elegy. Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing American Pastoral.
