The supermodel is shown in an odd but comfy-looking outfit that shows off her pregnant stomach, adding to Glamour‘s already great September issue. “Baby bumps,” as they are called, are clearly on trend right now–though I am pretty sure that I’ll still with my birth control regardless–considering how many major magazines have been showcasing pregnant women and not just to say “LOOK HOW FAT SHE GOT.” With stars like Christina Aguilera posing for V naked and pregnant, it’s inevitably going to be a bigger editorial trend than ever. Good job, media! But especially good job to Glamour, because they are showing off motherhood in a celebratory (rather than sexualized or unflattering) way. Obviously, motherhood should not need fashion mags’ approval ratings to be considered anything but wonderful, but it is still nice to acknowledge that women do not suddenly become dull baby factories with no personalities nor beauty after having a child.
