Lao Lao Garden offers traditional Lao barbecue in a laid-back setting. The restaurant is a well-known drinking spot among backpackers thanks to its extensive beverage menu (which includes lao lao, a local whiskey), however, it’s also a great spot for a casual meal. Meats are grilled on top of the dome, while the lower ring is filled with hot water for cooking vegetables and noodles. Lao Lao Garden is set on a hillside, with the main seating area found outdoors in a multi-tiered, candlelit garden.
