Thank goodness for Tavi Gevinson, right? She’s constantly inspiring people– young fans and adults alike– with her wise words, her impressive work ethic, and her creative fashion sense. She’s a conscious feminist voice. She’s down-to-earth. She’s one of the only people on this planet who can pull off blue eyeshadow.
Tavi covers this week’s issue of New York Magazine, looking positively stunning in white lace. Her hair is natural and pretty, her lips are glossy and pretty, and her eyes are vibrant and completely unfair. How is she working this color so hard? When I think of blue eyeshadow, I think of middle school girls sticking their fingers in the 2-dollar makeup at Claire’s. I think of bad ’90s movies. I think of the horrible Fourth of July makeup I put on at this year’s party when I was already drunk. This cover is just another example of how Tavi can’t possibly be a human being. She’s a smart, gracious alien.
