Gawker disabled image uploads in the comments sections of its websites on Tuesday due to an influx of offensive GIFs. The move comes just a day after a Jezebel post criticized parent company Gawker Media's lack of action in removing "rape gifs" that often contained pornographic images. Joel Johnson, editorial director of Gawker Media, confirmed via Twitter reports that the company had disabled image uploads.
