Finding Neverland is officially soaring into Broadway.
The musical adaptation of the 2004 film following Peter Pan playwright J. M. Barrie will begin performances on the Great White Way in March, according to a New York Times report. A run of the production opens Wednesday night at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Mass.
The production is the first major theater project spearheaded by Harvey Weinstein. NYT notes that Rick Miramontez, a spokesman for Weinstein, said Neverland will be housed on Broadway by a theater owned by the Nederlander Organization.
