The world lost a great bassist this week when Glenn Cornick, 67, died of congestive heart failure at his home in Hilo, Hawaii. Cornick, of course, with drummer Clive Bunker made up the rhythm section for the iconic rock group Jethro Tull’s first three albums: “This Was,” “Stand Up” and “Benefit.”
Many fans, including this one, still argue that Tull was at its musical peak then, just before the 1971 commercial blockbuster LP “Aqualung” when Cornick and Bunker left the group.
