In perhaps Tuesday’s most random film news, David Hasselhoff was announced as one of the judges for a short film competition in the Middle East.
The Knight Rider star will join the judging panel for this year’s Arab Film Studio, the amateur competition run by Abu Dhabi-based production house Image Nation and now into its fourth year. The panel also includes writer Wesley Strick (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Oscar-winning director Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) and Ashok Amitraj of Hyde Park Entertainment, which has partnered with Image Nation to fund films such as the Jennifer Aniston-starring Life of Crime, which opened the 2013 Abu Dhabi Film Festival.
