Six Flags Magic Mountain's famous Colossus roller coaster collapsed Monday afternoon, after catching fire during renovations. Firefighters worked tirelessly to put out the blaze.
Following 36 years of operation, the iconic wooden coaster was closed on Aug. 17, with plans for it to be replaced by a new and improved version of the ride called the Twisted Colossus, according to Los Angeles television station KTLA.
