Of all the words you could use to describe Opening Ceremony, the concept store and collection, “boring” would never be one of them. This season, designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim traded in a typical Fashion Week show for a one-act play, 100% Lost Cotton, co-written by Spike Jonze and Jonah Hill. Jonze and Hill cast a number of big names in the production, including Karlie Kloss, Elle Fanning, and Dree Hemingway, just to name a few. The play centered on the story of a new model, played by Elle, at her first casting for Fashion Week. The casting was, of course, for Opening Ceremony. Everyone on stage wore pieces from the Spring 2015 collection, which was, apparently, inspired by “the summer of ’91.”
