Fans planning to see Kris Allen on tour this year may want to remember to wear a pair of comfortable dancing shoes. “We have done some Soul Train lines,” says the American Idol season eight winner. “How can I not do a Soul Train line?” Allen is talking specifically about boogying down to the song, “Everybody Just Wants to Dance," from his new album, Horizons. Devotees are invited to join in. The kick in Allen's step may be due to his newborn son, who's already been in attendance for a few shows. And he's not alone: there is a veritable American Idol baby boom, with the recent announcement that Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child, Allen. “It’s Idol baby time,” he laughs. “They should have a special on Idol babies when Carrie has hers!”
