Def Jam is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a limited edition box set just in time for the holidays. To mark he occasion, Def Jam vets Public Enemy showed up on The Tonight Show to perform a classic track: “Public Enemy No. 1” from their 1987 LP Yo! Bum Rush the Show. Chuck D, Flavor Flav, and their camo-clad entourage took the stage alongside the Roots and rocked out the percussion-laced track. This wasn’t the first time Public Enemy performed with the Roots as its backing band; back in 2009, they performed It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back in its entirety at Philadelphia’s Roots Picnic with Questlove and company.
