Sep 22nd '14 by Michael Nelson @ 10:30am7 Comments At the beginning of 2014, I wrote about At The Gates, whose last record, 1995′s Slaughter Of The Soul, is one of my very favorite (like, top 3) metal albums of all time, and who had announced that this year would bring that album’s follow-up. At The Gates’ first album in 19 years, At War With Reality, is due next month, and today, the band has dropped its first single, the title track. I’ve heard the LP in full, and I absolutely love it, and while “At War With Reality” isn’t my favorite track on there, it’s a really good song and a totally appropriate way to get started.
